Recyc'Elit at Dornbirn GFC 2026: our co-material recovery results presented in the ReHubs session
On September 16, Recyc'Elit presented its latest work on the chemical separation of polyester-based multi-material textiles at the Dornbirn Global Fiber Congress, one of the leading international events for the fiber and textile industry.
As part of the ReHubs session, Ayoub El Mahdi, Ph.D., and Jonathan Benguigui delivered the presentation "Characterisation of fibers isolated by chemical separation from PET blend textile."
The talk was an opportunity to share our latest results on the characterisation of co-materials (cotton, elastane, acrylics and wool) recovered intact after our recycling process. This work shows that beyond PET, the other fibers found in blended textiles can be isolated while retaining properties suitable for revalorisation.
We would like to thank the Dornbirn GFC and ReHubs organisers for the invitation, as well as everyone who attended the session and came to talk with our team.
Our goal remains unchanged: to industrialise the recycling of polyester-based multi-material textiles by recovering not only PET but every co-material in complex post-consumer and post-production feedstocks, in order to revalorise them. A 100% circular process for textiles once considered unrecoverable.
