“The best recycled product is one where you can’t tell it contains recycled materials.”
This was one of the main takeaways from the masterclass “From 0% to 80%: How to integrate recycled materials into collections?”, organized by Victoire Satto, The Good Goods, which last week featured presentations by Raouf Medimagh and Marine PERRAUD, a representative of Recyc’Elit, at the FAGUO showroom.
The brand's co-founder, Nicolas ROHR, explained his commitment to creating a wardrobe with a continuously decreasing carbon footprint (notably through a collaboration with La Belle Empreinte), making recycled materials a key lever to achieve this goal. He emphasized that reducing the carbon footprint remains primarily a matter of internal conviction, as it is not what drives consumer purchases.
He also pointed out that this transition is by no means simple, and that the more brands integrate new recycled materials — particularly through partnerships with manufacturing sites — the easier it will be to integrate them. Indeed, brand A can use material X processed by brand B, and brand B, in turn, can use material Y processed by brand A. This would then create a virtuous cycle where everyone wins.
Recyc'Elit's technology provides brands with high-quality recycled materials, such as T2T recycled polyester or recycled cotton.
If you are a brand and wish to integrate recycled materials into your future collections, feel free to contact us. We would be delighted to collaborate with you.
